What is the World Rescue Challenge?

WRC Saves Lives
The skills firefighters learn at WRC stay with them for the rest of their lives. You never know when you might need to be rescued by a trained extricator. Their work is vital--literally.

WRC is Competitive
Teams come from around the world to better their rescue skills. When they are here competing, they are not only competing against each other, but also against the clock and themselves to beat their last time, together.

WRC is Fun
If you like watching TV shows like Grey's Anatomy or Chicago Fire that keep you on the edge of your seat, you'll love seeing extricators work to rescue in real life!

WRC is Teamwork
Teamwork is the lifeblood of everything rescue crews can accomplish! We bet if you attend, you'll learn how to work better as a team just by watching.

WRC is Friendship
The world of extrication is a tight-knit one, and WRC serves as a chance for life-long friendships to be created between firefighters from all over the world.

WRC is Education
At WRC, rescue teams receive the most cutting-edge training and get to learn techniques from one another, whether it be in the "pit" during an extrication challenge, during a special seminar, or over a meal when the day is done.
